On “Piegate”

On one hand, it seems awfully petty. Who doesn’t use stock images these days? So she didn’t make that specific pie; she made one like it. If I bake a pie and a friend and I are looking through the food website where I got the recipe, if I run across a picture of the pie I baked, I might say, “Hey, I made that pie. it was awesome!” My friend would know that I wasn’t saying I made THAT pie that’s in the picture! Just that I made a pie from the same recipe.

On the other hand, I love to cook: when I am proud enough of something I have prepared to share it with others, I will take a picture of what I made and post it, I will not submit something out of a magazine or off a website or Google images!

The problem here is, even though this thing should be a non-issue, this administration has set its own self up for ridicule over crap like this because of its antipathy for the truth. Sanders continues to talk in press briefings about “the overwhelming support” Americans have for Trump and his “overwhelming victory” in the election. Sorry, but this is pure bull-sh*t! The emperor is butt naked and all his courtiers are just gushing, slobbering all over themselves telling him how magnificent his wardrobe is!

“There is beauty in truth, even if it’s painful. Those who lie, twist life so that it looks tasty to the lazy, brilliant to the ignorant, and powerful to the weak. But lies only strengthen our defects. They don’t teach anything, help anything, fix anything or cure anything. Nor do they develop one’s character, one’s mind, one’s heart or one’s soul.”
